The first days you will arrive in Meppel, a small town in the North East part of the Netherlands. Arriving Saturday we start with a BBQ party where you can meet your fellow travelers and your hosts during the week. Together with two or three other participants, you will stay with Dutch families at their homes. You will have the possibility to meet and exchange your own culture with each other. All activities will be supported by Rotarian members or their family. We start at sunday with a two-day tour on bike or by boat, together with young people from Meppel , including a one-night outdoorcamp somewhere in the beautiful surroundings of Drenthe.

Forest, moors and lakes and activities like sport and gaming give you a good start in this Summer Tour. Back in Meppel we will run a program made by young Meppel inhabitants. Cooking, Culture and Meeting will be the essentials of this program.
Rounding up the first week we will enable to visit some highlights in North East Netherlands as group or accompagnied by your host. Havelte, Dwingeloo, the old prisons at Frederiksoord, or the memorial camp Westerbork are a few opportunities you need to see! At Saturday we’ll escort you to Eindhoven to start the second part of DUTCH Summertour 2010!
