Speech by Frederique Chabbert

We are thrilled to start our new Rotary year. Our new president, Atef Hamdy, will brief us about the targets of the board 2015-2016 and we will also have a presentation Paris as an innovative City by Frederique Chabbert, a Rotary member from RC Paris Montmartre (District 1660) http://www.rotaryparismontmartre.com

Frederique Chabbert is a 15-years-experienced innovation project engineer. She received an engineer master degree in innovation and industrial systems (ENSGSI - Nancy) and a complementary master degree in strategy and corporate finance (Cnam – Paris). She excels at interfacing between people with different skills in order to make innovative projects merge and become real. After working for a start-up, a public funding agency and a cluster, she now works at the Economic Development Department of the City of Paris where she has set up an innovation network among which more than 80 people from different departments and with different skills work together.

She is in Amsterdam for 2 months with the purpose of studying how the municipality promotes innovation, start-ups and co-working.

Speech by Tammie Matson

PARTNER EVENING. Let Elephants be Elephants by Tammie Matson, an Australian Zoologist and author with a grand passion for Africa and all its wildlife, especially elephants. in 2012 where she co-founded the Let Elephants Be Elephants (LEBE) campaign and film with Asian TV star, Nadya Hutagalung, which raises awareness to stop the demand for ivory that is decimating Africa’s elephants. Tammie is the author of three books on her conservation work and adventures, including ‘Planet Elephant’.

She moved to the Netherlands in April this year for her partner, Andy (Ridley) to take up the position as Managing Director of Circle Economy.  Andy is also her business partner in Matson & Ridley Safaris and he is the founder of Earth Hour , he will be present too at our meeting http://www.tammiematson.com http://www.letelephantsbeelephants.org

How to use storytelling to convey effective messages/ Why is it important to tell stories.  Diana is Category Manager at Nike European Headquarters, she has 9+ years’ experience in a combination of Sales, Brand, Omni channel Communication and E-Commerce across different industries including automotive, luxury and sporting goods.
