The plastic soup is a growing global problem. The club, together with 10 other clubs, wants to create awareness at 5 different primary schools in Amsterdam. Together with 300 students, they want to fish for plastic in the canals of Amsterdam. This involves parents, family, friends (about 800 people). Of the collected plastic, banks are made for the school grounds. The show is making a video to encourage other Rotary clubs to launch similar actions. In addition, a script is made. |

In Gordons Bay, South Africa, Child and Youth Care Center is 'Good Hope'. Here live children who have been taken from the street, often traumatized or neglected and / or used for prostitution. RC Haarlemmermeer wants to realize a shadow roof for swimming pool and baby unit, a fire place, two new kitchen blocks in the oldest living areas and convert 2 sea containers to 4 classrooms. Some members of the club have been in touch with Good Hope for many years and go there annually. These facilities also benefit the families and mothers concerned in the slums, a few hundred. |

Purchase medication for Leishmaniasis patients. Some of the patients with this disease do not respond to treatment with the medicine being reimbursed by the government. There is a medicine available where these patients can be treated, but this will not be compensated. Untreated, their lives are hopeless. They are expelled from the community. The Ayder Referral Hospital in Mekelle, Tigrae is a hospital where a patient with acute leishmaniasis is treated every day. Using the contribution of the Club and this District Grant, approximately 15 patients can be treated. |

Organizing a 7-day youth holiday camp in the summer for about 60 disadvantaged children aged 7 to 15 who can not go on holiday. Volunteers are available under the supervision of professionals for the implementation and guidance of the children's camp. In addition, approximately 20 Rotarians with proof of good conduct will actively participate in the project for guidance and transport. Collaboration with municipal de Wering and the 'Stichting De Eenhoorn is being co-operated. The children are staying in Kampeerboerderij Land van Kleef in Loon op Zand in the middle of the woods of the Loonse en Drunense Duinen. |

Estrela de Favela is a Dutch-Brazilian education project in Mangueira (a favela, sloppenwijk) in Rio de Janeiro. In the project, approximately 100 disadvantaged children between the ages of 4 and 14 are taught. 70% of the children are girls! Many children have a learning disadvantage of at least two years. There is a great need for digital learning resources. Rotary club Amsterdam Blue wants to purchase learning tools for this project, including digiboards, laptops, a burglary-proof cabinet and other teaching materials. A total of at least 180 children can use these learning materials. |
