Microcredit Made Easier

Microcredit Made Easier

Three ways to get involved with Rotarian Microcredit

RAGM is here to help you, leading the way with innovative approaches to establish an integrated

platform of Rotary services for poverty elimination.

1. Educate Yourself and Become an Advocate for Microcredit

Do you regularly read articles on ending poverty through microcredit, microfinance, and related subjects?

Have you joined our Rotarian Action Group for Microcredit (RAGM) to learn about best practices and models, to find links to articles and other useful resources, or to access our educational materials?

It’s time! This is where you can start! The impoverished people of the world need YOU as their well-informed advocate.

2. Fund a Rotarian Microbank

Do you or your club have funds to contribute? RAGM is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that can accept your tax deductible unrestricted donations and apply them to active Rotarian Microcredit projects. When your project is funded you will receive information and updates, so you can monitor progress and even plan a field visit.

If you would like to contribute to our efforts to improve service to our members, at your request, 5% of your funds may be applied to RAGM administrative expenses.

3. Start or Participate in a Rotarian Microbank

Visit www.ragm.org and review our database of Rotarian Microcredit projects from which you can choose. Directly participate to the degree that you like – whether that’s funding

the project, assisting in the TRF matching grant process, meeting NGO partners operating Microbanks, and even visiting the borrowers to see the results of your good work.

Let’s face it, you will need to find the right clubs, and the right NGO partner, and then submit a successful grant application.

The RAGM network is prepared to help with best practice guidelines, introductions to clubs and NGO partners, and assistance from experienced RAGM members.
