11:30 ‘Engagement’, presentation and discussion of Rotary projects*
12:00 Keynote speech by Luzette Kroon, dike reeve of Wetterskip Fryslân and the liaison with IHE Delft on behalf of the Union of the 21 Dutch Water Authorities. With her background as a politician and prominent water authority director, she will consider the tension between people and the environment. How to balance demographic needs and economic interests with the most extensive biodiversity in a unique landscape. How to focus on the future, given such a rich history? How could Rotary, with its diverse membership and international networks, be helpful in this regard? ⧉

* In recent years, Rotaract and Rotary clubs and districts have organized dozens of environmental projects, many with support from the Rotary Foundation. Our Rotary students at IHE will present several of these, provide expert feedback, and answer questions together with alumni and staff members.
** We will offer the opportunity to visit IHE research facilities and laboratories and get your hands dirty.
