Curious to hear, see, and experience what the Rotary Foundation means for our environment?

Come to IHE Delft, where Rotary students, alumni, and staff members of the Nature Based Solutions department will present dozens of Rotary projects and programs, and, together with trustee-chair Holger Knaack, will be open for questions and discussion.

Day Program April 18, 2026,  IHE Delft

10:30  Walk-in, coffee
11:00  Welcome, introduction by the IHE dean, and greeting by Foundation trustee-chair Holger Knaack
11:30  ‘Engagement’, presentation and discussion of Rotary projects*
12:00 Keynote speech by Luzette Kroon, dike reeve of Wetterskip Fryslân and the liaison with IHE Delft on behalf of the Union of the 21 Dutch Water Authorities. With her background as a politician and prominent water authority director, she will consider the tension between people and the environment. How to balance demographic needs and economic interests with the most extensive biodiversity in a unique landscape. How to focus on the future, given such a rich history? How could Rotary, with its diverse membership and international networks, be helpful in this regard?

* In recent years, Rotaract and Rotary clubs and districts have organized dozens of environmental projects, many with support from the Rotary Foundation. Our Rotary students at IHE will present several of these, provide expert feedback, and answer questions together with alumni and staff members.

** We will offer the opportunity to visit IHE research facilities and laboratories and get your hands dirty.

Major Donor Dinner, April 18, 2026.

From 7:00 PM on we are hosting a dinner for current and new major donors (re)contributing or pledging on this occasion at least $10,000 to the Rotary Foundation.

Our generous donors are not only from the Benelux region, but also from France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Like Holger Knaack, they could stay two nights in or around Delft. 

Overnighting donors may join us for a friendship dinner on Friday evening and for an excursion in Delft on Saturday morning.
